Joshua
Joshua leads Lucky Bay Changsha with an open, approachable style and a strong commitment to creating a supportive environment for students and staff alike.
A graduate of Penn State University and holder of a Master’s degree from New York University, Joshua understands firsthand the challenges Chinese students face in adapting to international education systems — and the mindset shifts required to succeed abroad.
As Co-founder and Managing Director, he focuses on building trust with families, shaping the team culture in Changsha, and creating a calm, honest pathway for students to grow into global thinkers.
Julie
Julie plays a central role in day-to-day student and family support at Lucky Bay Changsha. A graduate of Suzhou University, she recently completed her Master’s in Education at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, giving her a dual lens on both local and international teaching philosophies.
Julie brings creativity, patience, and structure to every student journey. Known for her warm communication style and attention to detail, she supports families through every stage of planning — from early consultations to application submission — and ensures our Changsha clients experience consistent, thoughtful service.
Bridging Education Between the UK and China: Our First International Schools Forum
In autumn 2024, Lucky Bay Changsha hosted its inaugural UK School Educational Conference, welcoming senior representatives from two respected British independent schools — Stonar School and Ryde School with Upper Chine.
This event was more than just a school showcase. It was a carefully planned initiative reflecting our commitment to long-term cross-cultural education, and a strong example of how Lucky Bay supports international schools in building meaningful, trusted relationships within China.
Led by Joshua, our Changsha Co-founder and Managing Director, the event created a space for deep engagement — not just with prospective families, but with educational values. Attendees explored what truly defines a good match between student and school, and how preparation in China can align with expectations in the UK.
